London based Cake has announced a new partnership with Sydney based Sticky Pictures, the company's first exotic culinary adventure - to co-produce the animated tween series Herb and Ray's Yum (52 x 12').

Herb and Ray are buddies who host The Yum - the weirdest and wildest cooking show on the web. Their lack of cooking knowledge and kid-like curiosity make for out-of-this world adventures with lots of action, comedy and explosions. Herb and Ray may be teenage misfits with no money, no girlfriends, and no clues - but on The Yum, they are legends in their own lunchtime.

Herb and Ray's Yum is designed and created by award-winning director Pete Candeland and award-winning writer/editor/creator in animation and games, Stu Connolly. Candeland is the Annecy-winning director behind the Beatles Rock Band cinematic and known for his work on the Gorillaz animated band music videos. Connolly co-created, wrote and edited CJ the DJ, Monster Auditions and Dukes of Broxstonia. Starting out as friends during their teenage years Candeland and Connolly have worked together regularly and created many shorts for major global children's networks.

Tom van Waveren, CEO and Creative Director, CAKE said: "Sticky Pictures is a company we have been wanting to work with for a long time. Herb & Ray's Yum is a perfect example of their fresh and irreverent style. On top of that, with Stu and Pete at the centre, this is the kind of creator lead shows that we are proud and excited to be partnering on. But the ultimate goal is to have as much fun as Herb & Ray have on The Yum!"

Donna Andrews, CEO & Executive Producer , Sticky Pictures added: "Sticky is thrilled to be working with CAKE on Herb & Ray's Yum. From day one the CAKE team has been super-enthusiastic about the show, and with their fantastic track record in both production and distribution we feel fortunate to be partnering with them."

Herb & Ray's Yum has been developed with the assistance of the Australian
Broadcasting Corporation.
