TACGA appoints Sirisak Koshpasharin (COO Imagimax) as the New Chairman

Sirisak Koshpasharin has been appointed as the new Chairman of Thai Animation and Computer Graphics Association (TACGA) for the tenure of 2 years. Prior to Sirisak, Lak Taechawanchai was the Chairman of TACGA for two consecutive terms.

TACGA was formed in 2006 after gathering all the companies in the industry having forums in TAM (Thailand Animation and Multimedia Exhibition) conducted by SIPA (Software Industry Promotion Agency) for 3 years. Although the organization has been strongly backed by SIPA, the association is supported by several government organizations related to the field including Ministry of ICT, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry, etc.

Under the chairmanship of Sirisak, TACGA will coordinate among its members to unite as a Thai brand in digital content professional and will continue to support and advice the strategy of Digital Content for the Thai government. Sirisak will help manage several key action plans for the country to promote the industry, will work with private sectors in enhancing human resources factors such as job placement, working seminar, project coordinators including supporting the animation curriculum in the university. TACGA will also form a team to start national animation project and will work with the government to set up National Infrastructure, and national marketing events.

Talking to AnimationXpress.com Sirisak Koshpasharin, Chairman, TACGA shared, “Actually my vision is to make Thailand a new outsourcing country for digital content in the world. Under my vision, this will encourage my plan to set up with my government- national infrastructure, new funding support for the industry, promoting human resources and job and promoting new market and co-production”.

Thai industry will be taking part in most of the animation events in Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia. TACGA is pushing the New look of TAM (Thailand Animation and Multimedia) event as an annual event and many other events as CG TALK, Creative events. 

In the Thai - Canadian Biz matching event in August, TACGA will invite all private sectors in the field to participate. It also helps invite guest speaker and organize the company visit including arranging seminar or workshop. TACGA under the chairmanship of Sirisak will also be working for events related to other media industry like film, game and other creative sectors as partners or organizers. 

About the current activities of TACGA Sirisak concluded by saying, “We are preparing a strategy plan with other association such as Federation of National Thai Film Association. We support SIPA as usual; TACGA helps the government in planning for the budget policy in the national strategy. I’m personally helping Ministry of Culture work on treaties Thailand can sign with other regions”.
